Search for Good Samaritan who stole and dumped Tory's leaflets continues

THE SEARCH continues to find the Good Samaritan who stole a Conservative councillor's car and then dumped his campaign leaflets a safe distance away.Councillor Peter Adams, below, was surprised to find his car stolen from a local car park, after leaving it unlocked with the keys in the ignition. It is thought the mystery thief used £50 worth of petrol in his escape, and then ran from the car park entrance, clutching the stacks of leaflets, which were later found miles away in Hurn.

Mr Adams said: "I'm thoroughly shocked that someone would steal a councillor's car. It comes to something when you can't leave your car unlocked with the keys inside in a public car park. What is the world coming to?"

But residents of Poole thanked the thief for sparing them the torrent of crap coming through their doors. One man said: "Thank goodness for that. I've had enough sanctimonious out-of-touch Tories on the TV, I don't need it coming through the letterbox as well. And the crazy thing is, people will believe it!"

Councillor Adams has tried asking local residents if they had seen anything, but was met with several doors to the face, as is the reflex response to a Conservative councillor knocking on your door. It has been revealed that other parties have been trying to capitalise on the events: Poole's Labour Party has offered a reward for finding the man, who they believe could be a more viable alternative to Ed Milliband.

Meanwhile, the Poole Liberal Democrats have encouraged members to fill their cars full of leaflets and leave them unlocked in public places
